Matchups for 3/1/09

Phillies vs. Untouchables- Back in week 3, the Untouchables defeated the Phillies by 5.The Phillies have won 4 in a row now and have gotten better game by game. The Untouchables won easily last week, but prior to that got killed by the Kings. The Phillies have a slightly better O and D, but throw out the stats in this one. This one will come down to the last drive, with the Phillies needing to score for the win. Touchdown Philles!

Raiders vs. Noles- The Raiders come in undefeated and look to move on to the finals. Standing in there way is a great Noles D. Both of these defenses are excellent. The mismatch is that the Noles O is average at best. The Noles will slow down the Raiders O, but won't be able to score enough for the win. Look for a low scoring back and forth game, with a lot of punts.

TOUCH (Division 1)

White Owls vs. Crusaders - The Crusaders come in undefeated, while the White Owls look to pull off the upset. A few weeks ago, I picked the upset win by the Owls. These are the playoffs now, so anything can happen. The White Owls have been playing better week by week. The Crusaders O didn't look too good last week and that could be a problem in this one. Everyone is waiting for the Crusaders to choke, but it won't happen this week. Eric and company will make just enough plays for the win.

Knights vs. Cobra Kai - The last time these two met, the Kai got destroyed. Will it happen again? Sadly for Kai fans, I'll say yes. Yes the game will be closer then 48-12, but it will still be ugly. The Kai are a good team, with a few great athletes, but the Knights are stacked. I hate saying that , but it's true. The Knights will come out on fire and coast to an easy win.

TOUCH (Division 2)

Sea Men vs. THK Terror - The 3rd game between these two, will be a battle. The Seamen are coming in hot, while the Terror have lost 2 of there last 3. Which Terror team will show up? The one who beat the Seamen back in week 4 or lost to them two weeks ago. Both teams are matched up well, so something has to give. The Seamen rush is excellent, while the Terror coverage guys are ball hawks. Flip a coin with this one. The Terror won't score much in this one, but they will score at the end.

TERROR 25 Seamen 20

Slugs vs. Ghosts - Another rematch of a classic. The Slugs won a close game back in week 2. This one will be another close finish. The Ghosts have a more athletic team and have ended the season on a roll. The Ghosts O is better, but there D is worse than the Slugs. The Slugs D will keep them in this game, but there inconsistent O will finally catch up to them. O wait, Slugs throw a hail mary at the end...... but it falls incomplete.
